Summary

Interesting Point

What's interesting is that the McDonald's story illustrates the complexity of multidimensional thinking and the poverty (shortcomings) of unidimensional thinking.

In order to take a multinational company into a new market, it has to adapt to the cultural and social aspects of that new market. Just like McDonald's has to create a new recipe instead of beef patties to enter India. I saw this and thought that the expansion of globalization is inevitably related to the elevation of cultural themes, and the current spread of social interaction, communication is a key factor in globalization.

Discussion Point

The article states that the main dimensions of globalization are cultural, social, political, and economic. It also states that it does not imply that any one dimension is more important than the others.

However, I believe that there may be some dimensions of globalization that are more important than others, such as the social dimension of communication.
