blog assignment 2 - Hofstede's Variable : Hyojun Kim(김효준)

When looking at the data on the Power Distance Index (PDI) of "Hofsted's Story of Cultural Dimension", in Sweden, the king makes them wait in order even if they pay at the mart. This can be seen as a country with a low power distance index (PDI) while appearing to respect customers who came to other marts.

On the other hand, Korea can be seen without investigating that it is a country with a high Power Distance Index (PDI). In Korea, a majority of consumers believe that "customers are kings." You can know by looking at the perception that you want more than just the service for the cost you pay. People easily accept the difference in power and exercise power over it as if it were natural. In addition, the atmosphere in which the boss's instructions cannot be rejected even at work shows that the power distance index (PDI) is high.
