Blog Assignment 2(ZHANG YUEXI): What is the relation between culture and globalization?

What is the relation between culture and globalization?

First of all, globalization embodies many aspects, including politics, economy and culture, and culture is just included in globalization.

Secondly, culture is one of the key factors contributing to the formation of globalization.

Therefore, I believe that culture and globalization have a mutual influence and achievement relationship.

1. How does culture influence globalization?

Culture promotes the connection between the countries of the world.

In the absence of the Internet in ancient times, cultural communication between two different countries was difficult, or the efficiency was extremely low, which led to the fact that all countries in ancient times maintained their own cultural characteristics, and different countries had different cultural characteristics, basically without the shadow of foreign countries' cultures. But today, through television, the telephone, and the Internet, humans have created faster ways to spread information. Culture has connected the countries of the world to each other and started to have exchanges and integration. Under the influence of cultural diversity, people are able to contact, learn and appreciate ideas and practices from different cultures, which promotes cultural exchange and mutual understanding. Different cultures offer a wealth of diversity, which makes globalization more interesting and diverse.

Culture shapes the direction of globalization and enriches the cultural diversity of the world.

2. The embodiment of globalization at the cultural level

The spread of global media, such as film and music, has enabled people from different cultures to consume and contribute to global popular culture. Through the Internet, people in different countries can browse the culture of different countries online, such as kpop culture in South Korea, traditional food in China, Hollywood movies in the United States and so on. At the same time, now the traffic has become very developed, people from different countries can quickly shuttle between different countries and cities, to the local experience of different lifestyles, cultural customs. Where there is communication, there is integration, so now people can see a microcosm of each country's culture in one country. For example, in Shanghai, China, there are many countries' clothing and jewelry brands in the shopping mall, different countries' special food, you can buy Korean music albums in Shanghai, Japanese Nintendo game consoles, French luxury bags, American sports fashion brand clothes and so on

In addition, globalization has further promoted international education and international cultural exchanges and cooperation, and it has shaped the diversity and interconnection of the global society.
