Globalization refers to the process or result of the increasing interconnection and interaction between political, economic, cultural and social relations that occur around the world, based on economic relations and supported by human material practices. Giddens believes that globalization is a process that brings populations originally scattered in geographical space closer together and increases communication, turning the entire earth into a community with a shared future or a global society.


Globalization manifests itself as economic globalization, political globalization and cultural globalization. Among them, economic globalization mainly manifests itself in world-wide trade, market exchange, and division of labor. Political globalization manifests itself in the establishment of global and regional organizations that transcend a single country. Cultural globalization is manifested in the flow of cultural products around the world and the exchange and collision between one's own culture and the culture of other countries.


The main driving force of globalization is capital's pursuit of profit. Based on capital's pursuit of profit, global resource allocation, global sales markets, global division of labor systems and the development of information and transportation technology have promoted the development of globalization.
