 Summary

The content of this document is about economic globalization and the role of companies. This article emphasizes that as the main argument, TNC (international company) is a major player in economic globalization, and TNC exists in various forms and sizes, and is not the largest company. It also points out that TNC is distributed in various ways regionally and is strongly focused geographically. In addition, TNC participates in overseas activities for various reasons such as internal and external investment, asset investment, and market-oriented investment, and explains that it is expanding through various forms of transactions and alliances. Finally, while pointing out the influence of TNC, it emphasizes the conflict and negotiation process between TNC and other major players such as country, community, labor force, and consumer.

 

Interesting point


The most interesting thing about this document is how companies participate internationally. It can be seen that European trading companies that emerged from the 15th century played an important role in international economic development, and companies that first started overseas activities in the manufacturing sector appeared in the late 19th century. In addition, over the past 50 years, the number of TNCs has increased rapidly, playing a major role in the current global economy, and modern TNCs can be defined as "an enterprise that can coordinate and control its operations in more than one country."
Finally, TNCs have various shapes and sizes around the world and are mainly active in their own country, and among them, TNCs from developed countries account for the majority, and FDI from developing countries is small but increasing.
