Countries are increasingly engaged in diplomatic efforts and foreign policy formulation through a global perspective. Bilateral and multilateral relations play a key role in addressing global issues and pursuing common goals. Political globalization is evident in addressing global security challenges. Issues such as nuclear proliferation, cyber threats and combating transnational terrorism require coordinated efforts and cooperation among states. The movement of people across national borders has political implications, sparking debates about immigration policy, citizenship, and the rights of migrants. Political globalization affects how countries deal with these issues and cooperate in managing migration flows. The development and observance of international law is at the heart of political globalization. Treaties, conventions and agreements establish norms for the conduct of States and provide a framework for the settlement of disputes.


Political movements and activism increasingly transcend national borders. Grassroots campaigns and advocacy work to connect people globally and foster a shared sense of responsibility for solving pressing problems. Political globalization emphasizes the interconnectedness of political systems and the need for international cooperation in addressing global challenges.
