class question-Why are ACTA, TPP, RCEP and other free trade controversial? why should we protest against ACTA and TPP in particular? Is RCEP better than ACTA and TPP?

 1. Many have criticized the negotiation process for these trade agreements for a lack of transparency and decision-making that often lacks broad democratic participation. This is thought to have resulted in interest group influence while ignoring the wider public's concerns.

2. ACTA and TPP have some strict regulations on intellectual property rights that may hurt Internet use and freedom of expression. Critics worry that the rules could lead to over-regulation and limit sharing of information and culture on the Internet.

3. I think RCEP is better because it is the world's most populous and largest free trade area. Its member countries are from the Asia-Pacific region, and it is a diversified international trade organization. The diversity of member states allows the organization to greatly reduce the political influence of hegemonic countries, enhance the voice of countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and allow free trade to be successfully carried out.
