 1) Summary

 The famous scholar called John Tomilson is known for his interesting contributions to the relationship between culture and globalization. Ideally, John Tomlinson focused on exploring how the concept of globalization is an active process of interdependence and interconnectedness among various narions impacting different aspects of life. Ideally, Tomlinson examined how globalization impacts on cultural production, identities, and practices alongside the dissemination and production of culturally inspired goods. Tomlinson emphasized the multidirectional and complex nature of the underlying relationship between culture and globalization by acknowledging both the diversifying and homogenizing implications of globalization on the culture of the locals. The work of Tomlinson contributes to comprehending how globalization is essential in shaping the dynamics of culture. 


2) Interesting point


 One of the most interesting components introduced by John Tomlinson on the relationship between culture and globalization is the concept of "glocalization". Glocalization is a concept that refers to the procedure or approach in which international cultural practices are localized and adapted within the context of cupture. Ideally, Tomlinson reveals how the cultural practices and products from various parts of the globe are not assimilated or imposed but hybridized or transformed to perfectly suit the preferences and tastes of the locals. Ideally, this is a unique aspect because it challenges the traditional notion or belief in the homogenization of culture by recognizing how local culture plays an importanybrole in reinterpreting and shaping the global influences resulting in diverse and unique impressions of culture. 


3) The point of discussion


 The main question concerning the work by John Tomlinson on the underlying relationship between culture and globalization relates to understanding how globalization impacts minority or marginalized cultures. Therefore, there is an urgent need for more research studies that will evaluate and discuss the unequal resource distribution and imbalance of power because of globalizayion. Finally, it is critical to understand how the issue of globalization amplifies the inequalities between different cultures and it also sheds light on the challenges experienced by minority cultures in sustaining and preserving their local culture.
