What is the relation between politics and globalization.--FAN XINRU

Summary

This article discusses the concept of political globalization. It is based on the concerns of a social world, while emphasizing the diversity of globalization through the approach of political globalization. It mentions the tension and interaction between the three processes that produce complex areas of global geopolitics, global normative cultures and multicentre networks.

The author argues that the worldwide spread of democracy based on parliamentary states is one of the most common forms of political globalization. The second aspect is the rise of a global normative culture. The article examines three dynamics of political globalization with four examples of social transformation: the transformation of nationality and citizenship, the public sphere and political exchanges, civil society, and space and borders. The article emphasizes that the nation-state is the main political form of social organization, so the definition of state and nation-state needs to be distinguished.

The changing relationship between state, society, and individuals, and the creation of new connections with communities, networks, and the public, is counterproductive to emerging forms of politics, a phenomenon known as civilization.Civilization, which is given political significance, strongly agrees that politics is increasingly influenced by an organizational global culture, implying a common form of politics.Such civil society can not only play a role in organizing resistance to global hegemony in political globalization, but is also considered to have a tendency to resolve conflicts. The position of the global community in political globalization has led to the emergence of multi-centre governance mechanisms, encroaching on increasing territorial forms of organization and transnational movements and networks.

At the same time as globalization, politics is affected and consequently adjusted, which destabilizes the nature of borders and space in political construction.

The relationship between globalization and political space and political boundaries revolves around two interrelated spatial dynamics, space as a component of social and political relationships, not just territorial delimitation.

The central problem of political globalization is the loss of political autonomy resulting from the fragmentation of world space. The article explores the forms of nationalism, nation-states, and democracy in order to identify trends in globalization by affirming the strengthening of global connections and to show the processes and disputes in the process of globalization. It affirms the complexity of political globalization, contains a lot of uncertainty, and predicts future developments.

Interesting point

The article mentions the image of a borderless world and shows that it is linked to global thinking. These "borderless" activities in the middle and early stages of the globalization process do have a role in promoting world exchange and integration and close world ties, but this concept applies only to icing on the cake for real-world development. And if nation-states compete, the concept of national boundaries returns to view. Thus, even in times of increasingly human-connected globalization, the concept of borderlessness can only occur at a particular time in a particular situation.

Question:

In the process of discussing political globalization, some problems will arise. For example, in the context of political globalization, will the large-scale and wide-scale circulation of world capital, population, technology, and energy across borders weaken the rights of nation-states?
